wish i was there project
The first assignment of quarter two was called "wish I was there." In this assignment we had to Photoshop our faces into a photo that we wanted to be in. I chose to Photoshop my face onto a picture of Selena Gomez standing on the red carpet.
I used tools in Photoshop to make it seem realistic. The first tool I used was the lasso tool to crop my face out of my original picture. Then I took my face from the original picture and dragged it into the picture of Selena Gomez. Next I zoomed in and erased all of the extra background around my face to make the edges of my face smooth. Then I rotated my face to fit Selena's position exactly. Once my face matched her's exactly, I had to adjust the picture to make our skin tones match. I took my face and adjusted the brightness and contrast. I made the saturation correct to match Selena's skin tone. Finally, I used the blur tool to blend my face outline into her hairline. Over all this project was fun and I enjoyed Photoshopping myself into a celeberty. |
Album cover project
For this project, we had to pick a song and design an album cover that fits the song's theme. I chose the song "Can't Help Falling In Love" and i chose the Ingrid Michaelson cover. In order to complete this project we had to use three different brushes. The first draft shows a picture of Ingrid Michaelson that i made several edits to. First I used the lasso tool to cut her face out of the original picture. Then I used the eraser tool to erase excess background that I did not want. Next I used the grayscale tool to make the picture black and white. After that, I went to the filter gallery and used a filter to make the image look painted on.
The second draft shows the first two brushes I used. The pink hearts was my first brush and the black hearts was my second brush. I chose hearts because the song is romantic so hearts fit well with the theme. On the third draft I added in my third brush which is a couple holding hands in the bottom left corner. This brush was perfect because it illustrates a couple falling in love. My final draft is the ending product. For the final draft I added text for the title. The colors I used for this album were pinks, reds, and blacks. The balck allows the oink and red to pop out.

For this project we had to create an album cover for a song that our teacher gave to us. My song was "Dance Me to the End of Love" by Leonard Cohen. We had to use ten images as a collage to make the cover. I used ten images of a couple through the stages of their relationship: falling in love, engagement, marriage, having a child. I ended with a picture of the couple as they are old because the song is about loving someone until death does them part. I put a heart in the middle of the pictures with a stamp of a couple dancing. The pictures travel in a clockwise circle around the hear, resembling the circle of life.
